Job description

Job Title: Janitor

SSC is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Janitor positions at Cartersville Middle School, located at 825 Douthit Ferry Road, Cartersville, GA 30120. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time shifts, typically from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm or 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. More details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: No prior experience necessary.

Pay Range: $11.00 to $13.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of buildings by performing heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
2. Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
3. Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and restore to original placement.
4. Clean assigned areas with appropriate materials and equipment, sanitize all surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning process.
5. Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to ensure a clean, safe environment.
6. Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
7. Complete all tasks assigned by supervisors, adhering to federal, state, and local guidelines.
8. Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
9. Contribute to team efforts, exhibiting professionalism with customers and colleagues.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
