Job Opening: Janitor

We are hiring immediately for a full-time Janitor position at Quakertown Community School District, located at 123 South Seventh Street, Quakertown, PA 18951. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. More details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: No experience necessary; training will be provided.

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour.

Job Summary

The Janitor keeps buildings clean and orderly by performing heavy cleaning duties, including floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and restore them to proper placement.
• Clean assigned areas with appropriate materials and equipment, sanitize surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean environment.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and complete tasks proactively.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisors, following all relevant guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
