Job Description: Janitor

We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Janitor positions at SSC Services for Education, a nationwide leader in facility services.

Location

Daniel Boone School District - 1845 Weavertown Road, Douglassville, PA 19518. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule

Full and part-time schedules, Monday - Friday, hours may vary. 2nd shift. More details upon interview.

Requirements

Pay Rate

$14.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of buildings by performing heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning; restore to original placement.
• Clean assigned areas using appropriate materials and equipment, following the eight-step cleaning procedure, including sanitizing surfaces.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and complete tasks proactively.
• Follow all federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Contribute positively to the team and exhibit professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
