Job description

Job Title: Janitor

SSC is hiring immediately for a full-time Janitor position located at Fairfield ISD, 701 Post Oak Road, Fairfield, TX 75840. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full time, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. Days may vary; additional details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: Willing to train. Pay rate is $10.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Maintains cleanliness and order in buildings by performing heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
2. Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
3. Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and restore them to proper placement.
4. Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment, sanitize all surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
5. Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean environment.
6. Identify areas needing cleaning and proactively complete tasks.
7. Complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
8. Perform tasks in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
9. Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
10. Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
