Job summary

Georgetown University is seeking a full-time on-campus Custodian to perform general cleaning and maintenance. You will follow a detailed cleaning plan to ensure a clean, safe environment across up to 28,000-35,000 square feet per day, with duties including snow removal and event support.

Requirements include HS/GED and a valid driver’s license from MD, VA, or DC; one year custodial experience preferred; must read and speak English proficiently and complete a building cleaning training program.

Qualifications

• HS or GED preferred.
• One year of custodial work experience preferred.
• Requires valid and current driver’s license from MD, VA, or DC.
• Must read, write and understand English to read labels and policies.
• Must relate custodial issues clearly to supervisor.
• Must complete a training program in building cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned area following detailed cleaning plan.
• Perform tasks including snow/ice removal, water or fire damage cleanup, and event support.
• Work alone or with others as assigned by supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules and procedures.
