Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking an energetic Janitor to join the Ability One - Army Reserve team in Missouri. The role involves cleaning at assigned sites, maintaining a safe environment, and interacting professionally with customers and vendors. Hours are hourly full-time with benefits.

No degree required, High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. This position supports the mission, "Changing Lives Through the Power of Work!" and emphasizes our core values while offering career growth

Qualifications

• Must be able to read simple signs and instructions, lift various weights repetitively, stand for extended periods and tolerate extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning of various types at assigned site.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and commuters.
• Lift and operate standard janitorial equipment and supplies.
• Sweep and mop frequently with motorized equipment.
• Dust with rag, extended handle brush and other dusting tools.
• Operate an industrial vacuum cleaner.
• Wax and polish floors.
• Clean-up various waste including body fluids as needed using appropriate techniques and safety procedures.
• Respond to request for spot clean-ups.
• Empty garbage and/or trash cans as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
