Controlled Contamination Services is seeking a Janitor to perform general upkeep and cleaning of interior facilities, lobbies, offices, and restrooms in the Pittsburgh area. The role involves floor care, trash removal, dusting, sanitizing, and reporting hazards to supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to perform basic arithmetic, with physical capability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds. Safety rules and company policies must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace liners.
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep floors.

• Wash, wipe down, rinse and disinfect assigned areas.
• Report hazards, damages, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• All other duties as defined by supervisor.

Utilizing state of the art strategies, processes and human capital, Controlled ensures the highest degree of service and integrity for the sensitive environment we support; impacting those industries that impact the world.POSITION PURPOSE:The Janitor role in the company is responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance cleaning of interior buildings/facilities/lobby’s office areas, restrooms and all areas determined by contract or assigned by supervisor.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Pick up trash and replace with trash linersVacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areasDust, wall spot, clean all glass, polish, sanitize all areas.Wash, clean, wipe down, sponge, rinse, scour and disinfect any assigned work areaNote and report all areas in need of repair and any hazardous condition requiring correction.Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and proceduresReport all damage to customer property, suspicious activities and unsafe conditions within their work area to the supervisor.All other duties as defined by supervisor.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Required to spend on-the-job time on the following physical activities:StandWalkLift/ClimbTalk/HearUse hands to finger, handle or feel.Reach with hands or arms.The Weight or Force requirement in this position is: Up to 40 pounds.Loud environments (examples: metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment)Controlled Contamination Services is an equal opportunity employer – vets/disability.
