Job summary

Controlled Contamination Services is seeking a part of our cleaning team in Baltimore, MD. The janitor will perform maintenance cleaning of interior office spaces, lobbies, restrooms and assigned areas, following contract requirements.

The role requires basic math skills and a GED or high school diploma. You will work Monday through Friday evenings, with safety and quality standards guiding daily tasks in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform arithmetic with two-digit numbers and to work with money, measurements, and distances.

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace liners.
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areas.
• Dust, wipe down glass, polish and sanitize all areas.
• Wash, clean, wipe, rinse and disinfect assigned work area.
• Note and report repairs or hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Adhere to all safety rules and company policies.
• Report damage to customer property and unsafe conditions.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Purpose

The Janitor role in the company is responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance cleaning of interior buildings/facilities/lobby’s office areas, restrooms and all areas determined by contract or assigned by supervisor.

Shift Details

Monday - Friday 4:00 pm -10:00 pm

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace with trash liners
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areas
• Dust, wall spot, clean all glass, polish, sanitize all areas.
• Wash, clean, wipe down, sponge, rinse, scour and disinfect any assigned work area
• Note and report all areas in need of repair and any hazardous condition requiring correction.
• Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and procedures
• Report all damage to customer property, suspicious activities and unsafe conditions within their work area to the supervisor.
• All other duties as defined by supervisor.

Qualifications

Education and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
