Job summary

Controlled Contamination Services seeks a Data Center Cleaning Technician I to maintain strict cleanliness in controlled environments and ensure surfaces—ceilings, walls, equipment and floors—meet exact standards. You will follow customer SOP/SOW, document procedures, and participate in ongoing technical safety training.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent), basic math skills, and the ability to pass a background check and I-9.

• Knowledge of safety requirements and chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines.
• Continuously monitor cleaning procedures for prompt and correct completion.
• Participate in cross training and ongoing training (Data Center, safety, technical skills).
• Clean all surfaces within general & critical environments (ceilings, walls, equipment, floors).
• Follow SOP/SOW documentation precisely and document deviations.
• Identify deviations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Assist in cross training of personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality and pass background check and I-9.

This position is not only about keeping areas visually clean but ensuring that all surfaces, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors, are meticulously maintained to meet the strict guidelines of cleanliness required in a data center setting.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform cleaning operations under strict guidelines. Continually monitor the cleaning procedures to ensure all cleaning is completed promptly and correctly.Responsible for participating in continuous training: Data Center, technical skills, safety, performance improvement.Normal duties include but are not limited to micro-cleaning all surfaces within the general & critical environment including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors.The ability to follow customer standard operating procedures in precise detail including documentation.Identify deviations in cleaning and follow through on corrective and preventative actions (variances).Review change to SOP/SOW documentation and re-train.Assist in the cross training of other Controlled Contamination Services personnel.All other duties as defined by supervisor.Must become familiar with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements.Ability to learn and understand Scope of Work & Standard Operating ProceduresAbility to maintain confidentiality.Pass a background check and I-9EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Required to spend on-the-job time on the following physical activities:StandWalkLift/ClimbTalk/HearUse hands to finger, handle or feel.Reach with hands or arms.The Weight or Force requirement in this position is: Up to 40 pounds.Loud environments (examples: metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment)Controlled Contamination Services is an equal opportunity employer – vets/disability.
