Green Ridge is seeking an evening custodian to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students. Typical hours are 3:00-11:00.

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Criminal background check will be completed prior to employment.
• Must be able to work alone with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Keeps building and premises neat and clean at all times, including sidewalks and play areas.
• Sweeps classrooms daily and dusts furniture and computers.
• Cleans corridors daily as needed.
• Disinfects toilet floors and cleans fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
• Washes windows inside and outside at least twice yearly.
• Maintains floors in a clean condition and participates in a maintenance program.
• Cleans teacher classroom boards weekly and reports needed repairs.
• Reports repairs to Maintenance Supervisor and Principal as required.
• Assumes responsibility for opening/closing the building and securing doors/windows.
• Keeps inventory of supplies and requisitions replacements.
• Performs general maintenance tasks and moves furniture as directed.
• Follows local laws for trash/disposal and can lift up to 35 lbs.

This is an evening custodian position. Typical hours are 3:00-11:00. The Candidate must be comfortable working alone, possess an attention to detail and be a self motivated problem solver.

Position goal

:Provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place for students.

Qualifications

:High school diploma or GED equivalency. A criminal background check will be completed prior to employment

Position responsibilities

1. Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas neat and clean at all times.
2. Sweeps classroom daily and dusts furniture and computers.
3. Cleans corridors each day when their condition requires it.
4. Scrubs, hoses down and disinfects toilet floors daily and clean all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
5. Washes all windows on both inside and outside at least twice each year and more frequently if necessary.
6. Keeps grounds free of rubbish.
7. Keeps all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.
8. Maintains a floor maintenance program, including stripping and waxing (summer)
9. Cleans all teacher classroom boards at least once a week.
10. Reports minor building repairs and follows directives concerning them.
11. Reports repairs needed promptly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
12. Reports immediately to the Principal any damage to school property.
13. Assumes responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day and for determining, before leaving, that all doors and windows are secured and all lights, except those left on for safety reasons, are turned off.
14. Keeps an inventory of supplies and equipment on hand and requisitions replacements from the Maintenance Supervisor.
15. Conducts an ongoing program of general maintenance, upkeep and repair.
16. Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by the Principal.
17. Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and water.
18. Must be able to physically lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
19. Must properly clean areas affected by human vomit and waste.
20. Other duties as assigned to ensure a clean and sanitary environment
