Job summary

Lavelle Industries Inc. in Burlington, Wisconsin is hiring a 1st Shift Janitor to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of production areas and equipment. You will follow standard work procedures, assist with snow/ice removal in winter, and support maintenance during downtime.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and follow verbal and written instructions while complying with safety rules. Forklift certification is required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and clean production areas and aisles as assigned.
• Follow the assigned route for scrap and garbage collection throughout the plant.
• Clean equipment during downtime for preventative maintenance work.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the outside dumpster area.
• Assist maintenance personnel in keeping outside walkways and entrances clear of snow and ice during the winter months.
• Record and submit accurate production and quality data, work records, etc., appropriate to the position.
• Follow standard work, line clearance, and setup verification procedures relevant to the position.
• Follow PPE and safety rules specified for the work area.
• Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
• Train others within the work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
