Job summary

American Bin & Conveyor seeks a General Labor/Shipping/Receiving Clerk at our Burlington, WI facility. You will move components, verify shipments, prepare items for shipment, and support multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes staying active, safety, and teamwork, with duties ranging from loading trucks to keeping areas organized and compliant with company policies. Training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Has experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Likes staying active and working on their feet.
• Can safely operate equipment or is willing to learn.
• Takes pride in safety and in helping a team succeed.
• Ability to use basic mathematics and measurements.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others.
• Agree to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the company.
• Successfully pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Verify incoming parts and materials against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Prepare finished product for shipping by packing, staging, crating and loading.
• Load and unload fabricated equipment and parts
• Monitor product being shipped for quality.
• Package, band, and palletize equipment for shipment.
• Transport materials between departments using forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Assist fabrication, paint, shipping, and assembly teams as production needs change.
• Keep the shop, yard, and inventory areas organized.
• Support maintenance and other shop activities when needed.
• Complies with all company safety policies and procedures and practices safe work habits.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

This isn't a position where you'll spend your entire day driving a forklift or picking orders. You'll work throughout our production facility helping move fabricated components, verify incoming shipments, prepare equipment for shipment, load trucks, maintain the yard, and support multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Every day is different, and you'll be an important part of keeping production moving.
