Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent.
• Post-secondary training as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Minimum six months experience in a health setting as a laboratory assistant or medical/nursing assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical health care and assessment to inmates at the Klamath County Jail.
• Evaluates vital signs, medications, and withdrawal status; treats minor wounds and illnesses.
• Responds to medical emergencies and supports chronic/acute care management.
• Coordinates ambulance transfers with local Fire/EMS and private vehicle transfers for appointments.
• Maintains medical records, orders supplies, and supports other medical staff.
