Job summary

The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) seeks a Therapist – MAT to support individuals in the Hampton City Jail. You will conduct behavioral health assessments, develop treatment plans, provide individual and group counseling, and coordinate care with jail staff, medical providers, and community partners to sustain MAT/MOUD services.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, a $3,000 sign-on bonus, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling required.
One year of clinical experience in a substance use disorder and/or correctional setting.
Must be eligible for CSAC supervision approval in Virginia within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Complete behavioral health and substance use assessments.
Develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide individual and group counseling.
Respond to behavioral health and substance use crises.
Coordinate discharge planning and community referrals.
Maintain accurate electronic health records.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
Collaborate with Re-entry Coordinator, correctional staff, medical providers, and community partners to support MAT/MOUD services.
