Job summary

Family Outreach Center in Michigan is seeking a Jail MAT clinician to serve incarcerated individuals with opioid or stimulant use disorders at the Kent County Correctional Facility. The role emphasizes case management, MAT knowledge, and coordination with jail and community partners.

Frontline duties include delivering education, meeting clients via telehealth or in person, developing release plans, and providing referrals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with one year working with the targeted population.
• Knowledge of the criminal justice system and Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT).
• Background check required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Providing case management, substance abuse education, and outreach to individuals that are incarcerated and if needed in the community
• Work closely with the Recovery Coaches
• Work collaboratively with jail and community partners that provide SUD services
• Meet with clients via telehealth, in person and/or possibly in the community
• Crisis Management (as needed)
• Develop release plans and make necessary community referrals
• If needed, provide transportation to appointments
• Flexible Schedule but some weekends and holidays required

We are seeking a hard working and motivated candidate to work with incarcerated individuals with an Opioid and/or Stimulant Use Disorder at the Kent County Correctional Facility. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree with one year working with the targeted population. Knowledge of the criminal justice system and Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT) is desired. Applicants will need to pass a background check prior to hire.
