Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a cook to work onsite inside the Chesapeake City Jail, preparing a variety of hot and cold items following menus and guidelines with strict food safety practices. You will report to a Food Service Director and manage your station with team members to ensure timely dish production.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of cooking experience, understand food handling regulations, and are flexible, team-oriented, and ready to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of cooking experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in cafeteria or large-volume kitchens preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily prep list and opening/closing checklists.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers safely.
• Log and rotate food items per state laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards.
