Job summary

Boulder County is hiring a Jail Education and Experience (JET) Program Coordinator to provide in-jail support through screenings, assessments, and group facilitation. You will collaborate with jail staff and community partners, maintain documentation, and support program operations while promoting trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices.

The role is full-time, exempt under FLSA, based at Boulder County Jail with a 8:00am–4:30pm schedule and potential 4x10s arrangement.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 years of combined education/experience in peer internships or direct service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with assessments and case planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide in-jail support, education, and connection to resources during incarceration.
Conduct client screenings, intakes, and assessments to guide individualized service planning.
Facilitate evidence-based groups (e.g., CBT, DBT, life skills)
Offer one-on-one support such as case management, coaching, and brief crisis intervention.
Collaborate with Jail Operations staff and community partners for safety and coordinated care.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date client documentation; ensure timely data entry and reporting.
Assist with scheduling groups and classes; support volunteers and program guests.
