Job summary

Weld County Jail is seeking a Jail Booking Technician to support secure, accurate intake and documentation for commitments and discharges around the clock. You will enter information into computer systems, prepare jail and court forms, and verify prisoner property and cash data.

Pre-employment screening includes polygraph, drug screen, and background checks. The role covers varied shifts across lobby and booking areas, with overtime eligibility and a focus on accuracy in law enforcement data

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Strong basic math, data entry, and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform information collection, entry, and verification for jail records.
• Enter, update, and retrieve data in law enforcement databases.
• Handle cash transactions, balance drawers, and reconcile reports.
• Assist with training, ordering supplies, and coordinating equipment repairs.
• Record and process prisoner commitments and discharges; fingerprint as needed.
