General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking Future Operations Support SMEs to join the SOCOM J3 planning team at HQ USSOCOM, MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL. Candidates will support strategic-level planning, doctrine development, and contingency planning for regional and global operations.
The role requires Top Secret/SCI eligibility, 12+ years of relevant combined joint/soff operations experience, and a Bachelor’s degree.

The J35 Future Operations Support SMEs will support the SOCOM J3 Operations Support mission of providing future operations, crisis action and compartmented contingency planning to inform senior leader decision-making and support GCC/TSOC SOF specific planning requirements at HQ USSOCOM. These SMEs will also lead USSOCOM global synchronization of Department of War’s (DoW) trans-regional Counter-Violent Extremist Organizations (C-VEO) efforts by designing, and leading planning efforts and synchronization venues. In addition, they will lead the planning, development, and integration of new capabilities in support of future and current operations.
Clearance: Current DoW Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI access required
12 years combined Joint, SOF, Interagency, and regional experience working military operations to include special operations conducted in a joint, combined, and interagency environment
3 years’ experience in strategic-level planning (e.g., operational design, military decision-making process, contingency plan development, etc.)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (e.g., Management, Administration, Program Management, Operations Research, Economics, or Social Sciences)

The likely salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
