Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing medications, maintaining the compounding area, and monitoring inventory under supervision. The role emphasizes compliance with regulations and standards across federal, state, and local levels.

The technician will assist with IV admixtures, labeling, quality control, and documentation, contributing to a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year IV experience or training highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in maintaining federal, state, and local laws and standards.
• Prepare sterile parenteral solutions following aseptic technique and required checks by pharmacists.
• Assist in preparation and labeling of medications as allowed by law.
• Maintain inventory and order medication and supplies; perform physical inventories.
• Maintain pharmacy records and required dispensing paperwork.
