Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services in Tampa, FL is seeking an IV Pharmacy Technician to support the sterile compounding and medication preparation under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

You will perform tasks in compliance with USP 797, state Board of Pharmacy regulations, and Polaris quality standards, including data entry, patient care facility communication, and maintaining a safe, organized IV department environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy technician license/certification required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year working as an IV pharmacy technician (long-term care pharmacy preferred).

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Prepare Sterile Compounding medications per Polaris standards and USP 797 guidelines.
• Enter data into computer systems and assist with regulatory requirements.
• Stage, prep, and fill orders for residents at long-term care facilities.
• Maintain the sterile compounding room and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and calibration.
