Job summary

Soleo Health is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support our specialty infusion pharmacy in Hoover, AL. The role emphasizes sterile IV compounding under the direction of a pharmacist, with compliance to state BOP regulations and USP standards.

The position requires a minimum of 1 year in hospital or specialty infusion settings, Alabama licensure, and strong data-entry and GMP/clean room skills. Benefits include 401(k) match and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must have on-the-job IV compounding experience.
• Minimum 1 year as Pharmacy Technician in a Hospital or Specialty Infusion Pharmacy (not training).
• Licensed/registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Alabama in good standing.
• PTCB/NHA certification preferred.
• IV compounding certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sterile preparation of IV/infused medications under pharmacist direction, in compliance with regulations.
• Demonstrates understanding of USP 797/800 standards and State BOP regulations.
• Maintain call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care.
• Coordinate communications, lab data and clinical information with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement staff.
• Data entry of patient and prescription information into pharmacy software per BOP rules.
• Clean and maintain the pharmacy clean room per policy and state regulations.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
• Stay current with BOP CE requirements and Soleo’s credentialing process.
• Handle receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors.
• Perform picking/packaging for shipment to customer homes.
• Participate in inventory counts and formulary management.
