Job summary
Omnicell is seeking an Automation Pharmacy Technician 4 (IV Compounding) in Bristol, TN to support daily dispensing from the Omnicell IV equipment. You will maintain equipment, perform advanced troubleshooting and manage inventories while addressing customer concerns under the Pharmacy Services Manager.
You must hold an active TN pharmacy technician license, PTCB/NHA-CPhT or EXCPT, and have sterile IV compounding experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Active National Pharmacy Technician Certificate (PTCB/NHA-CPhT or EXCPT) is required.
- Active TN State Board of Pharmacy Technician license/registration is required.
- Sterile IV compounding and cleanroom experience is expected.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform IV automation tasks aseptically and accurately per guidelines.
- Maintain and clean IV automation equipment for daily use.
- Handle hazardous drugs safely and in compliance with procedures.
- Identify and order medications to keep inventory optimal.
- Monitor and order consumables required for equipment operation.
- Troubleshoot IV automation equipment and report unresolved issues.
- Communicate proactively with the Pharmacy Services Manager and customers.
- Provide customer-focused support to maintain satisfaction levels.
- Follow IV compounding policies and facility guidelines.
- Complete negative fingertip and media fill sampling; maintain credentials.
