Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare IV admixtures, unit-dose syringes, and chemotherapy medications, ensuring accurate labeling and sterile technique. You will maintain stock levels, follow state and federal regulations, and collaborate with pharmacy and clinical staff to support critical care and OR areas.

Prior IV admixture experience and board registration are preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred.
• PHRMTECH-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician Current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
• PTCB Certification Preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the admixtures of medications to IV solutions.
• Preparation of unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding of solutions/medications used in the critical care and OR satellite areas.
• Maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas.
• Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations.
• Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice.
