The City of Phoenix is seeking an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Network Manager to design, implement, and manage its ITS network infrastructure in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires hands-on network design, troubleshooting, and leadership in policy development and long-range planning.

Responsibilities include coordinating with City departments and external partners, overseeing LAN/WAN/fiber networks, and guiding deployment of new technologies to enhance mobility and safety.

Competenze

• Two years of experience as an Information Technology Systems Specialist involving database management and on-line telecommunications.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, or a related field.
• Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
• All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
• Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business; valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.

• Design, implement, and manage the City's ITS network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and fiber optic systems.
• Lead strategic planning and oversee integration of multiple network platforms to support thousands of devices and applications.
• Manage procurement and maintenance contracts; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

• Represent the City in meetings with city, county, state, and federal agencies and partners; occasional after-hours work may be required.
