Job summary

Metric Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Maintenance Program Coordinator based at FDOT District Four’s Regional Traffic Management Center.

The role provides auditing and oversight of ITS maintenance activities, reviewing contractor records and invoices, and reporting findings to ensure accountability and compliance. The ideal candidate has three years of ITS device maintenance experience, strong project management skills, and a solid understanding of MIMS.

Qualifications

• At least three years of ITS device maintenance experience.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and ITS maintenance practices.
• Experience using MIMS to review maintenance activities and support oversight.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to nontechnical audiences.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Windows operating systems.
• Ability to prepare accurate, well-organized technical reports and correspondence.
• Working knowledge of ITS devices and their maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review all contractor MIMS tickets, including preventive maintenance tickets, for accuracy, completeness, and supporting documentation.
• Audit maintenance contractor invoices submitted to FDOT against documented work and applicable approvals.
• Identify, document, and report discrepancies, including improper MOT charges, unapproved time charges, and excessive time billed for maintenance activities.
• Prepare clear technical reports and correspondence summarizing findings and issues requiring resolution.
• Coordinate with FDOT and contractor personnel to clarify records and address discrepancies.
