Job summary

The State of Michigan seeks an Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12 for the Department of Technology Management and Budget in Lansing. The role supports modernization of critical systems, with a hybrid work option requiring two days on-site and three days remote each week.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.
  • Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11.
  • An associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in IT fields and two years of experience, or two years (4,160 hours) as an IT Student Assistant may substitute for the education requirement.
  • Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, information technology technician, or four years (8,320 hours) as an IT Student Assistant may substitute for the education requirement.

Education

Bachelor's degree with 21 semester credits in IT or related fields

Job description

The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB.

This position functions as a Sr. Salesforce Application Developer within the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), supporting the modernization and ongoing operations of critical Child Welfare and State Hospital systems, including the Michigan Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (MiSACWIS) and the Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS). These systems are essential to the delivery of services to vulnerable children and families across Michigan and require high availability, scalability, and compliance with state and federal standards.

DTMB does not participate in STEM-OPT.
Position Location/Remote Office:

The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out-of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

SIGNING BONUS:

This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of thefollowing: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications,networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project managementor mathematics.

Experience

Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure orProgrammer/Analyst P11.
