Job summary

Montgomery-Public-Schools is seeking an Itinerant Child Nutrition Programs Assistant to support the school food service program across campuses. You will assist with food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining sanitation under USDA and Health Department guidelines.

The role requires willingness to travel between schools, basic knowledge of food preparation, and a high school diploma or GED. Training and growth opportunities are provided as part of the CNP program.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of methods of quantity food preparation and serving and sanitation.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills.
• Must possess a Food Handler Permit or Serv-Safe Certification.

Responsibilities

• Participate in job related training and professional growth activities.
• Receive, store, prepare, and serve food according to Health Department and USDA standards.
• Follow manager’s instruction as to method and procedures to use in performing tasks.
• Follow system policies on sanitation, personal grooming, and dress.
• Follow the Child Nutrition Program manager’s assignments and instructions in producing and serving food.
