The role requires friendliness, attentiveness, strong communication, teamwork with kitchen staff and hosts, accurate payments, and the stamina to stand for long shifts. Must be available Mon–Thu; Sundays closed. Hourly rate ranges from $25 to $30.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a food-serving establishment is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of wine and food items on the menu.
• Must be friendly, attentive, and able to handle guest needs effectively.
• Collaboration with other servers, kitchen staff, and hosts is vital for smooth service.
• The ability to address guest complaints and resolve issues calmly and effectively is important.
• Accuracy in taking orders and handling payments is essential.
• Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor, even during busy periods, is crucial.
• Punctuality and the ability to work scheduled shifts are necessary.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Servers attend to guests during a meal, helping them place their order and ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Explain dishes and clarify any dietary concerns or allergies.
• Submit orders to the kitchen and bring food to tables; fill drinks; check on tables.
• Assist with paying the bill and handling change; keep receipts and tips.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by bussing dishes and completing closing tasks.
