Job summary

CentricsIT, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented teammate for our on-site IT asset management team in Norcross, GA. You will perform basic testing of electronic equipment, help ensure inventory integrity, and support data security procedures.

The role requires familiarity with IT hardware, ability to learn quickly, and comfort with lifting up to 50 lbs; experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic testing of electronic equipment and peripherals
• Record detailed asset information into the ERP system
• Maintain inventory integrity and locate/label incoming inventory
• Perform data security wiping and follow disposal procedures
• Assist with order fulfillment and use MS Office tools
• Maintain safe and clean work environment
• Support management with other tasks as assigned

Key Responsibilities

• Performs basic testing of electronic equipment and peripherals
• Perform data security wiping procedures on electronic assets including physically destroying data bearing assets according to strict company policies and procedures
• Maintain integrity on inventory
• Perform testing of key functions on equipment, including POST testing
• Evaluates and identifies hardware for specific disposition
• Record detailed asset information into the ERP system
• Follows procedures regarding bin locations of equipment, relocation of equipment and picking of equipment for order fulfillment
• Accurately locate and label incoming inventory and reconciliations
• Perform basic functions in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Maintains quality service by following organisation standards
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

Qualifications

• General knowledge of IT equipment (hard drives, memory, etc.)
• Hardware build and repair experience (laptop, PC, server, etc.)
• Ability to cope with pressure of peak workloads, short deadlines and project‑based work
• Ability to learn quickly and follow established processes/standards
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
• A+ Certification preferred

Special Conditions of Employment

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and occasionally 100 lbs.
