Job summary

Per Scholas in Columbus, OH is seeking an Instructional Assistant (IT Support) to support the Technical Instructor, deliver hands-on IT training, and help learners develop entry- to mid-level skills. You will lead study groups, assist with labs, track attendance, and participate in learner progress meetings while upholding Per Scholas’ mission to expand access to well-paying tech careers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Per Scholas Training Program.
• Obtained all certifications offered in the training course in which you participated.
• Ability to teach in a highly interactive and hands-on style.
• Passion for teaching others.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in schedule.
• Interest in being part of a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom facilitation in a highly interactive, hands-on style.
• Lead study groups using instructor evaluations and topics determined with the instructor.
• Gather necessary tools and materials for lectures and hands-on labs.
• Ensure equipment loaned to learners is returned and properly stored.
• Enter learner attendance/grades/scorecards in the LMS.
• Support learner progress meetings and monitor class attendance and dress code.
