Job summary

Marathon is seeking an IT Technician in Mesa, AZ to support the City’s IT operations by relocating workstation equipment, imaging and wiping computers, and setting up new or replacement machines. You will help organize the PC Lab and keep IT gear ready for deployment.

This full-time, 12-month temporary assignment offers benefits and requires a high school diploma, 1 year of customer service, basic Windows and Office 365 knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 years of customer service experience
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures and work effectively as part of a team.
• Computer Science/IT coursework preferred.
• Must pass required Police Department, Arizona DPS, and FBI background checks.
• Valid Arizona Class D Driver License required by hire date.
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Relocate and retrieve computers, peripherals, and workstation equipment.
• Image new computers and wipe cycled computers.
• Set up and configure new or replacement computers.
• Organize and maintain the PC Lab.
• Track and maintain IT equipment and inventory.
• Assist with basic hardware, software, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Document equipment and service activities.
• Assist with workstation moves and equipment setup.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
