Job summary

Royal Electric is seeking an IT Technician to join our Sacramento, CA team. The role supports end users, troubleshoots hardware and software, and collaborates with staff both in person and remotely to resolve issues.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of help desk experience, and a valid driver’s license. You will deploy devices, manage user access, and uphold security standards across sites in California.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional IT services to Royal Electric employees.
• Document activities in the ITSM platform while meeting SLA expectations.
• Communicate issues, solutions, and escalations clearly and professionally.
• Process onboarding and offboarding following standard operating procedures.
• Deploy, configure, and track computers, mobile devices, software, and user access.
• Manage accounts and maintain security protocols for enterprise technology.
• Ensuring compliance with company IT standards, security policies, and device lifecycle management procedures.
• Provide onsite support for remote offices, including IT projects, audits, cabling, and equipment installations.
• Set up, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure at remote job sites, from initial deployment through ongoing support.

We have a current opening for an IT Technician at our Sacramento, CA office.

The IT Technician is a key member of the IT team and focuses on supporting end users. The IT Technician will work with internal employees both in person and remotely with questions and problems concerning computer systems, hardware and software. Standout candidates will be excellent problem-solvers with outstanding communication and customer service skills.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• On path for degree, Certificate, or similar in Information Technology and/or A+ and/or Network+ certification preferred.
• 2+ years supporting a help desk or related technical support experience.
• Valid Driver’s license

Required Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Proficient with the latest version of Windows and Microsoft Office
• Active Directory and Microsoft 365 experience
• Working knowledge of network and server administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, Virtualization and Windows Server.
• Must have strong communication skills in fast paced environment.
• Proficient at routing, cabling and mounting equipment
• Ability to explain technical issues and solutions to non-technical users.
• Ability to travel to locations across California.

Safety & Physical Requirements

• Must wear proper PPE while on jobsites.
• Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• Sit, stand, and walk during the duration of the workday.
• Will lift, carry, push, pull, kneel, crouch, and reach.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand tools safely

Salary Range

$28.00/hour - $31.00/hour

• This is a non-exempt/hourly position
