Job summary

Royal Electric in Sacramento, CA is seeking an IT Technician to support end users, manage devices, and maintain IT infrastructure at remote sites. You will work with internal staff in person and remotely, handling questions about computer systems, hardware and software, with emphasis on problem solving and customer service.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to travel across California, and proficiency with Windows, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; degree/certifications preferred.
• 2+ years in help desk or technical support.
• On path for degree or IT certs (A+/Network+) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional IT services to Royal Electric employees.
• Document activities in the ITSM platform and meet SLA expectations.
• Communicate issues, solutions and escalations clearly and professionally.
• Process onboarding and offboarding per SOPs.
• Deploy, configure, and track computers, mobile devices, software and user access.
• Manage accounts and maintain security protocols for enterprise tech.
• Provide onsite support for remote offices, including IT projects and installations.
• Set up and maintain IT infrastructure at remote job sites.

We have a current opening for an IT Technician at our Sacramento, CA office.

The IT Technician is a key member of the IT team and focuses on supporting end users. The IT Technician will work with internal employees both in person and remotely with questions and problems concerning computer systems, hardware and software. Standout candidates will be excellent problem-solvers with outstanding communication and customer service skills

Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:

• Support End Users Experience
  • Provide exceptional IT services to Royal Electric employees.
  • Documenting activities in the ITSM platform while meeting SLA expectations.

  • Process onboarding and offboarding while following standard operating procedures.
• Device and End User Management
  • Deploy, configure, and track computers, mobile devices, software, and user access.
  • Manage accounts and maintain security protocols for enterprise technology.
  • Ensuring compliance with company IT standards, security policies, and device lifecycle management procedures
• Device and End User Management
  • Provide onsite support for remote offices, including IT projects, audits, cabling, and equipment installations.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure at remote job sites, from initial deployment through ongoing support.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• On path for degree, Certificate, or similar in Information Technology and/or A+ and/or Network+ certification preferred.
• 2+ years supporting a help desk or related technical support experience.
• Valid Driver's license

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Proficient with the latest version of Windows and Microsoft Office
• Active Directory and Microsoft 365 experience
• Working knowledge of network and server administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, Virtualization and Windows Server.
• Must have strong communication skills in fast paced environment.
• Proficient at routing, cabling and mounting equipment
• Ability to explain technical issues and solutions to non-technical users.
• Ability to travel to locations across California.

Safety & Physical Requirements

• Must wear proper PPE while on jobsites.
• Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• Sit, stand, and walk during the duration of the workday.
• Will lift, carry, push, pull, kneel, crouch, and reach.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand tools safely

Salary Range:

$28.00/hour - $31.00/hour

• This is a non-exempt/hourly position
