Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking an IT Technician to join our on-site IT team. This full‑time role supports employees and operations staff from the office with occasional travel to Noti, OR.

You will troubleshoot and resolve technology issues by phone or remote‑control tools, build and repair PCs and printers, manage inventory, and ensure a positive user experience. The job requires two years of computer and network problem‑solving experience, knowledge of Windows OS,

Qualifications

• Two years’ computer and network problem‑solving experience (commercial/large network environment a plus)
• Knowledge of Windows Desktop, Server OS, Microsoft Azure, and Active Directory/Entra ID
• Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and Exchange
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
• Familiarity with remote connection to a business network: VPN, Wi‑Fi, WANs, & LANs
• Experience with Zebra label printers is preferred
• CCNA and/or A+ certifications or equivalent education is recommended
• Business network, wireless, and VOIP skills preferred
• Knowledge of anti‑virus software and other desktop security products is preferred
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate, hands‑on assistance to employees and operations staff as the primary on‑site IT technician
• Troubleshoot and resolve technology issues by phone and/or remote‑control tools
• Communicate with users to provide positive results and excellent user experience
• Coach and demonstrate best practice problem‑solving methods
• Build, diagnose, and repair PCs, laptops, and printers
• Manage an inventory of computer components and supplies
• Address concurrent issues with timely resolution
• Understand file/folder sharing, device sharing, and permissions
• Perform basic network connectivity tests and coordinate with centralized network engineering for advanced troubleshooting
• Collaborate with centralized IT teams to elevate issues while maintaining on‑site ownership
• Install and support Microsoft, IBM i, and other business software and licensing

IT Technician – Eugene, OR – Full-Time – Close Date: Open

This position is not remote and is based from our office in Eugene, Oregon, with occasional travel to Noti, OR.

About The Position

• Collaborate with centralized IT teams to elevate technical issues while maintaining on‑site ownership until resolution
• Install and support Microsoft, IBM i, and other business software and licensing

The general wage range for this position at Sierra Pacific Industries is from $25 to $32 per hour, and is dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to: relevant work experience, skill, knowledge, and/or education.
