Job summary

Assistance Plus is seeking a motivated IT Technician to support end users across our locations. You will configure, deploy, and maintain laptops and equipment, provide troubleshooting for Windows OS, and manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, Exchange, and SharePoint.

This role requires excellent communication, data security best practices, and the ability to travel to agency sites for on-site support.

Qualifications

• Must have strong IT support experience for end users
• Experience configuring and deploying laptops and equipment
• Familiarity with AD/Exchange/SharePoint environments and file permissions
• Proficient in using ticketing systems and documenting communications
• Knowledge of data security best practices and basic networking concepts

Responsibilities

Job DescriptionAssistance Plus is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented IT Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys technology, troubleshooting, and providing exceptional support to end users.The IT Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the organization's technology infrastructure and supporting employees across all of our locations. Responsibilities include hardware and software support, user account management, computer setup and deployment, networking assistance, data security, and support of key business applications including CareVoyant.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure, deploy, and maintain laptop computers and technology equipment for employees, including deploying monthly updates through Ninja.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.Maintaining the ticket system (Halo) with detailed communication, phone calls and prompt responses.Assist with management and support of Active Directory, Exchange Mail, and SharePoint environments.Organize and maintain files, folders, and user permissions across company system, includingSupport basic networking functions and troubleshoot connectivity issues.Maintain and promote data security best practices throughout the organization.Respond to and resolve technology-related support requests from staff.Troubleshoot staff concerns related to documentation and software systems.Create and update electronic forms and resources used by employees.Travel to agency locations as needed to provide on-site technical support.Lift, transport, and install technology equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.Maintain the security checkpoints and door codes at all locations.Maintain the security cameras at all locations.Maintain and program mobile phones for staff thru MDM in Entra.Position Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.Must be at least 18 years of age.Valid Maine driver's license required.Proof of vehicle insurance with minimum coverage of $50,000/$100,000 required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong understanding of data security principles and best practices.Basic networking knowledge.Experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems and computer hardware.Understanding of network printing and scanning.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Experience working with Microsoft Teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.Knowledge of CareVoyant is a plus.Benefits:Mileage reimbursementPaid travel time12 paid holidays per yearGenerous Earned Benefit TimeWorking in a team-oriented environmentAgency paid life insurance in the amount of your annual salary with a max of $50kAgency paid Short-Term DisabilityMedical, dental, and voluntary insurances for full-time staffEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)401K Retirement Plan (up to a 4% employer match)Assistance Plus provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
