Job summary

Johnsonville is seeking an IT Technical Services Engineer to provide responsive support for office, manufacturing, and site-based technology at our Holton facility in Kansas. You’ll troubleshoot, document, and resolve incidents while collaborating with the broader Technical Services team.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of information systems experience, familiarity with Windows, O365, Intune, and ERP printing environments, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred in Information Systems or Computer Science.
• Minimum of one year of professional information systems experience.
• Knowledge of Windows, O365, Intune, Autopilot, iOS, macOS, cloud tech, hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support endpoint, printing, mobility, access control, conference room, and manufacturing tech.
• Support manufacturing-floor tech including label printers, RF scanners, rugged tablets, OT workstations, SAP printing, Loftware processes, and shop-floor peripherals.
• Provide support for office, badge, label, SAP, and specialty printing environments including setup, queue validation, replacement coordination, and vendor escalation.
• Deploy and manage Windows, iOS, macOS, rugged tablets, Apple TV and other endpoints using standard processes.
• Troubleshoot wired/wireless, VPN, and connectivity issues; escalate as needed.
• Own incidents and requests through resolution with proper documentation and updates.
• Create knowledge base articles, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides to improve service quality.
• Serve as primary onsite IT support contact for Holton facility and collaborate with teams remotely.

Experience

• Minimum of one year of professional information systems experience required, preferably in a technical support role.
• Working knowledge of Windows, O365, MS Intune, Autopilot, iOS, macOS, cloud technologies, computer hardware, and software applications.
• Working knowledge of networking, wireless, Ethernet, VPN support, manufacturing label printing, and diagnostic utilities.
• Ability to analyze technical issues, troubleshoot effectively, and support systems used in office and manufacturing environments.

Skills

• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills. Ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language
• Strong documentation, communication, time management, and organization skills

Position Overview

The IT Technical Services Engineer provides responsive technical support for office, manufacturing, and site-based technology. This role requires strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and customer service skills, along with the ability to work independently while collaborating with the broader Technical Services team.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and support endpoint, printing, mobility, access control, conference room, and manufacturing technology across office and production environments.
• Support manufacturing-floor technology, including label printers, RF scanners, rugged tablets, OT workstations, SAP printing, Loftware-related processes, and shop-floor peripherals.
• Provide support for office, badge, label, SAP, and specialty printing environments, including setup, troubleshooting, queue validation, replacement coordination, and vendor escalation.
• Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and lifecycle-manage Windows, iOS, macOS, rugged tablets, Apple TV, and other endpoint devices using standard management, asset, and lease-return processes.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting for wired, wireless, VPN, and device connectivity issues, coordinating escalation with infrastructure or application teams as needed.
• Own incidents and service requests through resolution with accurate documentation, timely member updates, clear closure notes, and appropriate escalation.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and process documentation to improve consistency, onboarding, and service quality.
• Serve as the primary onsite IT support contact for the Holton facility while collaborating remotely with Technical Services, vendors, site contacts, and service providers.
