Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a lead functional resource for Payroll Systems within the JD Edwards environment. You’ll gather requirements, analyze solutions, drive process improvements, and deliver scalable enterprise solutions across payroll and related functions. You’ll handle JDE configuration, testing, documentation, and long-term support while promoting best practices in a complex enterprise.

This full-time hybrid role is based in Pasadena, CA (4 days onsite, 1 remote).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IS/CS/Business or related field.
• Strong experience supporting JD Edwards (JDE) ERP environments.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical/functional solutions.
• Solid business process analysis, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with system configurations, integrations, and data migration activities.
• Good understanding of SDLC and enterprise delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently solve complex business and system challenges.

Responsibilities

• Partner with BPOs to identify challenges, gather requirements, and propose solutions.
• Translate requirements into JD Edwards configurations and ongoing system support.
• Lead functional analysis for new initiatives, enhancements, and production support issues.
• Promote standardized business processes across units and acquisitions.
• Create functional specs, user guides, process docs, and test scripts.
• Coordinate with technical teams to design and deliver solutions and integrations.
• Lead QA and UAT activities to ensure successful implementations.
• Support data integrity and protection of PII.
• Manage small-to-medium projects using SDLC and cross-functional resources.
• Mentor team members on best practices and design standards.

Job description

Reporting to the JDE Manager, this role serves as the lead functional resource supporting Payroll Systems within the JD Edwards environment. The position partners closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze solution options, drive process improvements, and deliver scalable enterprise solutions across payroll and related business functions. This individual will play a key role in JDE configuration, process standardization, system enhancements, testing, documentation, and long-term application support while promoting best practices across a complex enterprise environment.

This is a fulltime role on salary + benefits with the client. This role is hybrid 4 days a week in Pasadena, 1 remote (NO FLEX). Salary range is $170,000-$190,000/year.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with Business Process Owners (BPOs) to identify business challenges, gather requirements, and recommend solutions
• Translate business requirements into JD Edwards configurations, enhancements, and ongoing system support
• Lead functional analysis for new initiatives, system enhancements, and production support issues
• Drive adoption of standardized business processes across business units and acquisitions
• Develop functional specifications, user guides, process documentation, and testing scripts
• Coordinate with technical teams to design and deliver solutions, prototypes, integrations, and system improvements
• Lead QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities to ensure successful implementations
• Support data integrity, security controls, and protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
• Manage small-to-medium projects utilizing SDLC methodologies and cross-functional resources
• Mentor team members on best practices, documentation standards, and solution design

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field
• Strong experience supporting JD Edwards (JDE) ERP environments
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical and functional solutions
• Strong business process analysis, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting skills
