Brightleaf Group is seeking an HRIS Functional Team Lead – HR/Payroll to guide a team of ERP specialists across HR and Payroll domains. You will manage complex JD Edwards and Oracle HCM environments, ensure stable operations, and drive improvements while coordinating with HR and IT stakeholders.

The role combines hands-on functional leadership with governance and deployment across multiple states, with emphasis on process optimization, testing, and timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years ERP experience with HR/Payroll focus.
• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
• Experience leading teams or acting as a senior functional lead.
• Strong functional knowledge of HR and Payroll processes.
• ERP configuration, support, and implementation experience.
• Experience with ERP integrations.
• Experience with Oracle HCM.
• Knowledge of audit and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with reporting or automation tools.

HRIS Functional Team Lead – HR / Payroll NC, GA, FL (Remote) The ERP Functional Team Lead – HR/Payroll leads a team of functional specialists supporting JD Edwards and related ERP technologies (Oracle HCM) across Human Resources and Payroll domains. This role combines hands‑on functional expertise with leadership responsibility to ensure stable operations, effective delivery, and continuous improvement of business processes.

• Lead and develop a team of functional specialists supporting HR and Payroll systems.
• Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations aligned to organizational goals.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to team members.
• Oversee prioritization and assignment of support, enhancements, and project work.
• Balance production support and project delivery to maintain service levels and commitments.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues and coordinate cross‑functional resolution.
• Lead root cause analysis and ensure sustainable issue resolution.
