Job summary

Nan-Mckay- is seeking an IT Systems Specialist II to manage and support our computer systems, prepare data analyses, document processes, and develop reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Under the supervision of the IT Systems Coordinator, you will implement technology solutions, support call center hardware and software, handle access requests, and maintain SharePoint sites and data workflows essential for program operations.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree from a regionally accredited institution in Information Technology, Public Administration, Social Science or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of work experience or internship experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; excellent Excel skills.
  • Understanding of SharePoint (2010 or 2016), SharePoint Designer and InfoPath is preferred but not required.
  • Hands-on experience with Elite; should include day-to-day user support and report development.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to document technical issues clearly for lay audiences.
  • Experience with Public Housing/Housing Choice Voucher programs or financial systems is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and experience in a project team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support multiple systems and monitor employee use, identifying training opportunities for staff.
  • Assist the IT Systems Coordinator and act as back-up in their absence.
  • Assist with implementing a variety of technological solutions and upgrades.
  • Support call center hardware and software.
  • Process all new hire, termination, and access request paperwork in a timely and well-tracked manner.
  • Assist staff in the use and functionality of systems of record.
  • Organize and maintain the SharePoint wiki site.
  • Modify SharePoint tracking sites as needed.
  • Review, process, and collect data for PIC/EIV access in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Document and update system workflows as required.
  • Critically evaluate information from multiple sources and explain reports to various audiences.
  • Act as first response with disaster recovery team to limit liabilities and ensure business continuity.
  • Provide excellent customer service to participants, landlords, co-workers, clients and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with the PHA Administrative Plan, HUD regulations and state/local requirements.
  • Obtain certification in Housing Choice Voucher Specialist within 120 days of employment.
  • Ensure regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

SUMMARY: The position duties include a wide range of activities related to the administration and support of the various computer systems, as well a preparing data analysis, documenting processes and procedures as well as developing reports and presentations.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED : Operates under the direct general supervision of the IT Systems Coordinator. The Systems Specialist exercises no supervision over other employees.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A four-year degree from a regionally accredited institution in Information Technology, Public Administration, Social Science or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of work experience that may include internship experiences.
