Job summary

ITW in Glenview, Illinois is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to own day-to-day infrastructure operations, including Windows servers, Active Directory, and network services for the North America platform.

You will work with the Business Solution team to support EDI, BI, and ERP infrastructure, maintain security posture, and document changes with a disciplined, outcomes-driven approach.

This on-site campus offers an onsite gym and café.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on IT systems administration experience in a corporate environment.
• Solid Windows Server administration: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and cert services.
• Understanding of virtualization (hypervisor architecture, VM state, snapshots) and storage I/O.
• Strong networking fundamentals: OSI, TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewall design, segmentation.
• Ability to diagnose infrastructure issues from first principles and document outcomes.
• Knowledge of hybrid identity and device management in cloud environments.
• Disciplined documentation and change management practices.
• Willingness to travel regionally (~10%), with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, AD, DNS/DHCP, and certificate services across domains.
• Manage virtualization and storage I/O, with VM provisioning and snapshot lifecycle.
• Support hybrid on-premises and cloud workloads; manage identity and device management concepts.
• Oversee backup and disaster recovery; document recovery procedures.
• Monitor system health and respond to alerts to prevent incidents.
• Design and maintain network segmentation; manage firewall policies.
• Support security posture, conduct vulnerability coordination and patching.
