Job summary

Inductive Automation, LLC is seeking a Senior System Administrator to design, implement, and maintain our IT infrastructure. You will ensure performance, security and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 4–7 years of related experience, on-site and hybrid work options, and a focus on system administration across Linux, Windows and MacOS environments. Applies to applicants willing to come into the office as needed.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of IT experience in system, network, or database administration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, or MacOS.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (Intune, JAMF, Ansible, etc).
• Working knowledge of virtualization and containers (VMware, Proxmox, Kubernetes, Docker, etc).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform).
• Knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
• System administration certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or related fields are a plus.
• Must be able to come into the office as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administering, installing, and troubleshooting a variety of operating systems.
• Performing systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenance.
• Scheduling, installing, and testing system software upgrades.
• Configuring software and resolving technical problems.
• Monitoring system performance and ensuring reliability of critical services.
• Managing user accounts, permissions and access controls per security policies.
• Developing and maintaining documentation for configurations and procedures.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support deployment and troubleshooting.
• Providing mentorship to junior system administrators.
• Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance performance.
• Assisting in developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures.
