Job summary

Euronet in the United States is seeking a motivated graduate or entry-level IT professional to join our multinational payments team as an IT Systems Operator. You will monitor IT systems 24/7, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with technical teams to maintain high service standards.

The role offers onboarding, training, and exposure to real-time financial transaction processing in a global environment, with weekend/holiday shift opportunities and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or related field is needed.
• Good general understanding of IT technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows operating system including Office.
• Experience in Networking and Server environments.
• Ability to work in rotating shifts, including weekends/holidays.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Greek, both written and spoken.
• Eligibility to work in the EU full-time and permanently, without employer sponsorship.
• Military obligations fulfilled (for male candidates).

Responsibilities

• Monitor IT systems 24/7 using various tools. Detect issues, troubleshoot, and elevate when needed.
• Perform routine checks of system processes.
• Monitor financial transaction flows from a technical perspective.
• Investigate reported problems and manage incidents and service requests.
• Coordinate with all involved teams to resolve issues and keep ticket communication updated.
• Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Troubleshoot undocumented problems using experience and team support.
• Submit and monitor end-of-day job streams.
• Work closely with international card organizations (Visa, Mastercard, UPI, American Express) and their technical teams.
• Maintain detailed records of incidents, resolutions, and system activities.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Previous experience in one or more of the following areas: Networking, Server environment
• Ability to work in rotating shifts, including weekends/holidays.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Greek, both written and spoken.
• Eligibility to work in the EU full-time and permanently, without employer sponsorship.
• Military obligations fulfilled (for male candidates).
• Basic understanding of generative AI tools and their practical application in a business environment. This includes using AI responsibly to improve efficiency, support decision‑making, generate content, analyse information, and automate routine tasks while maintaining appropriate data privacy and quality standards.
