Job summary

Fairmount Park Casino & Racing seeks an IT Manager to lead the IT department and ensure reliable operations across network, data centers, and security. You will design, install, and maintain local area networks and IT infrastructure, implement policies, and support business continuity while guiding a team and budgeting technology resources.

The role requires a four-year degree in CS or MIS, at least three years in IT management, and readiness to work nights and weekends in a regulated gaming

Qualifications

• Must have a four-year degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar
• Must have three years of working experience as an IT Manager
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license (Gaming Board)
• Must have knowledge of casino game rules
• Must have expertise in data center management and data governance
• Must have hands-on experience with computer networks and network installation
• Must have strong organizational, planning, and supervisory skills
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Description: SUMMARY

As an IT Manager, you will support the overall operation of the facility through IT solutions and efficiency. Additionally, you will be responsible for IT operations in the absence of the Director of IT.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the IT department
• Oversee the overall functionality and efficiency of the company’s IT systems
• Designs, specifies, configures, installs, and maintains local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures related to hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup.
• Responds to the needs and questions of users concerning their access to resources on the network & the operation of various software programs.
• Ensure the security of data, network access, and backups systems
• Identify problematic areas and timely implement strategic solutions
• Identify and propose unused system features that can impact operations or increase efficiency
• Audit systems and assess their outcome
• Establish, implement, and enforce policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements, Company initiatives, and organizational goals
• Manage the department’s budget, including capital expenditures
• Manage procurement of technology for the property
• Select, train, and develop team members through education, training, coaching, and corrective action
• Perform quarterly ’Step Up’ performance reviews for IT team members
• Participate in IT support on-call rotation when required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
• Must have a four-year degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar, or a combination of education and experience
• Must have three years of working experience as an IT Manager
• Must have knowledge of all casino game rules
• Must have excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and of computer hardware/software systems
• Must have knowledge of all applicable gaming regulations
• Must have expertise in data center management and data governance
• Must have hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation
• Strong organizational, planning, and supervisory skills are required
• Must have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Frequently required to lift up to a maximum of 30 pounds
• Frequently required to push, kneel, climb, stoop, bend, and twist, as well as reach overhead
• The work environment contains bright lights, loud noise, and stressful situations.

Base Pay Range: $90,000 - $105,000 This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The base salary will depend on a number of factors such as: qualifications, experience level, and skillset.
