Job summary

AVANCE San Antonio is seeking an IT Administrator to manage servers, desktops, communications hardware/software, and office systems. The role collaborates with the IT Manager to bridge technical and non-technical staff and to create a welcoming environment for internal employees and program participants.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting users on-site or remotely, maintaining network apps, and training new users while seeking continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Service Desk workstation and network infrastructure support.
• Certifications MCP, A+, Network+ preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and resolves hardware, connection, printer and software issues reported to the Service Desk.
• Assists users with computer issues remotely or in-person.
• Updates network applications as required.
• Escalates requests to the appropriate party and replaces or repairs defective parts.
• Conducts technology training for new users and demonstrates system productivity.
• Maintains knowledge base and participates in ongoing learning.

Education

Associate’s Degree in Computer Technology or related field

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Technology or related field

Certification: MCP, A+, Network+

MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
