Job summary

LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to support on‑prem IT infrastructures in virtualized environments for FAA cybersecurity capabilities. You will provide second‑level engineering support, design, configure, test, and deploy infrastructure services, and maintain security best practices and documentation.

The role involves working with VMware vSphere/Hyper‑V, DISA STIG compliance, backup/storage solutions like Commvault, and monitoring platforms such as

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience deploying, migrating, and managing on‑prem IT infrastructures.
• Experience deploying and managing infrastructure monitoring services in large‑scale virtualized environments.
• Experience deploying and maintaining enterprise backup and storage solutions.
• Ability to support deployments of infrastructure applications in hybrid Windows and Red Hat environments.
• Experience hardening enterprise environments using DISA STIGs and related tools.
• Ability to lead and track multiple parallel projects and deliverables.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements and support trade studies for infrastructure projects.
• Design storage requirements to support virtual deployments.
• Build, configure, and deploy monitoring solutions across virtualized environments.
• Implement DISA STIG compliance profiles for infrastructure solutions.
• Provide oversight and strategy for infrastructure initiatives and transitions to operations.
• Support patching, upgrades, and tuning of systems.
• Develop operations documentation (config data, change requests, SOPs, diagrams, test plans).
