Job summary

Webster Groves School District is seeking a Systems Engineer to own the core infrastructure, including networks, servers, identity management, and security tooling. This role offers high autonomy and end-to-end ownership from planning through implementation and documentation.

The successful candidate will manage LAN/WAN design, firewall policies, wireless networks, Active Directory, and Google Workspace, while ensuring data integrity, backups, and FERPA compliance across multiple school sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in IT.
• 2–5 years administering enterprise networks and systems.
• Experience in K-12 or multi-site environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain district LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Manage enterprise firewall policies and security posture.
• Administer wireless networks with centralized controllers.
• Maintain AD and Google Workspace with group policies.
• Oversee server administration and backups.
• Support endpoint management and patching.
• Document configurations and procedures; ensure FERPA compliance.
