Job summary

New York Hotel And Motel Trades is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator in New York to manage on‑premises and cloud infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, VMware, databases, and network resources. The role reports to the Director of IT Infrastructure and emphasizes security, availability, and documentation.

You will monitor performance, perform patches, manage backups, and provide Tier II/III support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience covering all aspects of system administration (servers, workstations, storage, and networks).
• Experience with Windows and Linux server environments, cloud services, and VMware.
• Familiar with security best practices and ITIL processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems support for HTC operations to ensure stable operation of on-premises and cloud resources.
• Plan, install, configure, maintain and optimize infrastructure components.
• Monitor resources, performance, and security; perform patches and backups.
• Troubleshoot issues, resolve tickets, and update knowledge base.
• Document IT policies, diagrams, and procedures.
• Provide Tier II/III support to employees as needed.
