Job summary

ProTech IT Solutions, a New Charter Technologies Company, is seeking a System Administrator to deliver remote and on-site IT support in Torrington, CT. The role involves monitoring client systems, basic Office 365 support, and assisting senior engineers with cloud tasks in Azure and AWS.

A 8:30 AM–5:30 PM schedule is provided with full-time benefits and a focus on white-glove service. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in IT support, strong troubleshooting, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of IT support or related field (internship or help desk experience a plus).
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server and Windows 10 environments.
• Foundational understanding of networking concepts.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver remote and on-site technical support to clients with professionalism and urgency.
• Monitor client systems to identify potential issues before downtime.
• Collaborate with clients to understand basic IT needs and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Provide first-level troubleshooting for Windows Server environments and Windows 10 workstations.
• Assist with Office 365 administration and basic user management.
• Support basic network protocols (TCP/IP) under guidance of senior staff.
• Utilize ConnectWise and other RMM tools for ticketing and monitoring.
• Assist with basic cloud tasks in Azure and AWS.
• Document procedures and client interactions in the ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 engineers in timely manner.
