Job summary

The City of Pigeon Forge is seeking an entry-level IT support worker to assist the Technology Manager with installation, maintenance, repair and operation of City computers and related systems.

Responsibilities include providing technical support, handling IT tickets, configuring the City’s network and servers, and coordinating repairs with vendors. A high school diploma or GED is required, with an associate’s degree in computer science preferred.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of computer systems hardware and software maintenance, trouble shooting and networking.
• General knowledge of hardware and software associated with the operations of a local area networking.
• General knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012.

Responsibilities

• Assists the City’s Technology Manager with directives related to the IT Department and City IT System.
• Assists with front-line technical skills including installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining computers and related equipment.
• Updates and upgrades computer software programs and hardware components and maintains files and records.
